Former Microsoft, Amazon.com Software Engineer Joins Orthocare Innovations as Software Architect

Oklahoma City, OK, January 21, 2010 – Orthocare Innovations, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Radu Litiu as Software Architect. Dr. Litiu, who will be resident in Orthocare's Seattle research facility, is a proven information technology professional with experience in the telecommunications, system software development, e- commerce and online advertising fields.


Most recently, Radu was a senior software engineer in the Online Services Division at aQuantive/Microsoft. Previously, he held software development positions at both Amazon.com and Microsoft Corporation, as well as at Valaran, a software startup in Princeton, NJ. He was also a visiting research professor at Rutgers University, researching utility-based adaptation in mobile computing applications and game theoretic approaches for building adaptive mobile applications.

Dr. Litiu received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan. As part of his graduate work, Dr. Litiu conducted research in the areas of adaptive component-based distributed systems, group communication services and middleware support for collaborative systems, and application-level quality of service. His dissertation work focused on the design and development of a component-based framework for building reconfigurable distributed applications (DACIA).
