Even though the week FLEW by – I know I could have taken 30 minutes to help someone….

Yikes, a week ago, I was sitting here writing my last blog and now all I can ask myself is “Did 7 days already pass?” “Did anything amazing or impressionable happen this week that I may have witnessed or done?” To be honest…if it did, it simply whizzed on by.
Today, I want to focus on a few things we can do to make a difference in someone’s life.
In today’s economy, we are always looking for activities we can participate in that don’t cost a lot of money….making a difference, well, it doesn’t take any money or even special skills, just the wiliness to – MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
So – what do you need?
• Time
• Patience
• Understanding
Wow, I at times have one of those ingredients, but do I have all three at once? Not always and not often. We move so fast that we some times forget we need all three to be there, to be present.
To make it easy, here is your assignment, simply follow below, so you virtually don’t even need to think about how you will help someone. Everywhere we go, everywhere we look we see people going about their daily lives (and yes, we are ALL busy). We can all schedule out a half hour a week, again, no special skills, just a williness to be PRESENT.
So, here it goes…do you think by next Friday you may have taken 30 minutes out of one day. Even though these last 7 days flew by, I am sure I could have done something…could you?
* Pick a group, a church, hospital, animal shelter, or even a non-profit, I am sure they all could use and need volunteers. By volunteering, not only can you make a difference, but you will feel good about yourself and be helping others.
Lastly, if anything, smile, open a door for someone or simply help that person who dropped EVERYTHING they were carrying and is now a mess on the floor...just step outside your world and into someone elses..
